Description:

Flowers bloom and wither, spring departs and autumn arrives; the moment they fell has long since become eternal

Excerpt from "An Inch of Mountains and Rivers, an Inch of Blood"

She still remembers her grandfather's murky eyes gazing at the bustling traffic outside

The gaze that passes through the window and the tall buildings reflects, however, a small boat in the ancient town and a ray of sunset on the river.

Behind the tranquil scene lies a profound darkness and the glow of blood, each person's smile carries a bitterness, and every cry is tinged with exhaustion

Then unable to laugh, unable to cry, existing in a state of numbness, until the dawn disperses the clouds, despair transforms into hope

Even with white hair and wrinkled skin, and in the twilight of old age, that backbone which has endured a century of darkness remains as unyielding as iron, standing tall and firm.

It was only after experiencing all of that that she truly understood

You find them clumsy, backward, ignorant, and stubborn

Yet it is they who persist, remain unyielding, fight bravely, and stand guard

It is only through this that we have today’s abundance of clothing, food, laughter, and freedom

Thank you

I have already lost the older generation that has passed away, as well as those who have yet to depart.
